The Splendor of the Great Wall in the Fall

Last fall, during Jamie's parents' visit, we had an opportunity to take the high speed train to Beijing. We spent one day traveling to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall.  We first visited that section of the wall in July and I must say the weather was a bit more enjoyable this time!

That building, that looks teeny-tiny, is part of the Great Wall.
Someone's getting excited!

Just remember, if you go down,
you must climb back up!

On this trip to the Great Wall Jamie and I decided to take advantage of our grandparent babysitting services.  The girls stayed with Jamie's parents to snack on some ice-cream, while Jamie and I rode up a lift to a different part of the Wall. We really, really wanted to luge down the side of the Great Wall.

Please hold tight to your child!

Let's take a quick photo.
Time to luge.

I'm ready!
This is so awesome!!

I'm not going to lie, it was amazing!
